I’m all about connecting with you, connecting you with other amazing women who can co journey with you, and helping you connect with our triune God.  One way I love to accomplish all three of these things is through Book Club Community!

I choose a book by an incredible woman who loves Jesus.  Then, I invite you to join me and some other awesome Jesus gals in a private Facebook group.  We walk through the book together and grow in our relationship with one another and with Jesus!  I share lots of fun things like free goodies, opportunities to connect with the author, and opportunities to connect with one another.

August Book:

I’m so excited to read Ronne Rock’s new book, One Woman Can Change The World:  Reclaiming Your God-Designed Influence And Impact Right Where You Are

“We live in a time of unprecedented change when it comes to women’s lives. All around the world, women are demanding the safety, respect, and opportunities they have always deserved but seldom grasped. Have you ever stopped to wonder, “Where do I fit into this story?”

Ronne Rock is a good person to ask. In this stirring book, she takes you on a global adventure to discover your divine design as a woman of influence and impact. Through powerful and personal stories of women in Africa, Asia, the Americas, and the Caribbean, you’ll learn what it means to lead in a world where leadership isn’t easy, how to serve with grace in cultures that aren’t always graceful, and how to embrace your God-given physical, emotional, and spiritual DNA. As you discover the lives of real women who are influencing their communities with grace and gumption–even in countries where oppression weighs most heavily–you’ll feel inspired to reclaim your God-designed influence and impact right where you are.

And your purchase of One Woman Can Change the World transforms the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children through the ministry of Orphan Outreach.Ronne is donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the books to Orphan Outreach. Dar-Ul-Fazl in India is the first recipient of this gift, thanks to you!”  (From ronnerock.com)

If you’re interested in joining me for the Book Club Community:
Here’s how it works:
1. Email me and let me know you’re interested in joining me.
2. Keep an eye on your inbox! I will send an email with an invite to the Face Book group.  Each week, you can look there for thoughts about the book, ways to connect, and fun surprises!
3. Ask your friends to join you and invite them to the FB group!  The more, the merrier!

Why Book Club Community:

I have always wanted to join a book club full of interesting women who regularly meet in a cozy little cafe and sip steaming cups of coffee or tea while they share all of their thoughts and feelings about a book that they love.  Occasionally, I get the opportunity to lead these kinds of little small group book clubs in my local community, but that doesn’t always fit with school schedules, sports practices, to do list, and commitments. So I am offering us a chance to do it here!

If you can’t get enough of books that fill up your heart, challenge you to a deeper walk of faith, and connect you to Jesus, then this is the place for you!

We walk through a book together, chat about all of the things, and (often) even connect with the author! To be a part of the Book Club Community, send me an email at Bobbieschae@yahoo.com with Book Club Community in the subject line and I will add you to the email list to give you all the details!

Our last book was:

Who Do You Say That I Am by Becky Harling

We can speak in abstracts all day long. We can ponder who Jesus is and what it means to follow Him. But he wants our confession. He wants to know, “Who do you say that I AM?”

How we answer defines our lives both now and forever. This study in the “I AM” statements of Jesus will help women move from knowing about Him to knowing Him personally. Guiding them through significant questions Jesus asks in the Gospels—and the answers He himself provides—it will help readers:

  • Realize the truth of who Jesus really is
  • Grow in their ability to trust God and rely on Him fully
  • Find the calm and peace promised in Scripture despite life circumstances

Becky Harling has years of experience as a Bible teacher and women’s ministry leader. She empathizes with women and knows how to make Scripture come alive. Who Do You Say that I AM? will draw women deep into the Word for a true encounter with Christ, helping them become more confident, calm, and courageous in the faith.

This 25 day Advent devotional will help you to invite Jesus into the heart of your Christmas season and experience the holiday in a deeper and more meaningful way.
