I have always wanted to join a book club full of interesting women who regularly meet in a cozy little cafe and sip steaming cups of coffee or tea while they share all of their thoughts and feelings about a book that they love.  Occasionally, I get the opportunity to lead these kinds of little small group book clubs in my local community, but that doesn’t always fit with school schedules, sports practices, to do list, and commitments. So I am offering us a chance to do it here!

If you can’t get enough of books that fill up your heart, challenge you to a deeper walk of faith, and connect you to Jesus, then this is the place for you!

Each month, we are going to walk through a book together, chat about all of the things, and even connect with the author! To be a part of the Book Club Community, send me an email at Bobbieschae@yahoo.com with Book Club Community in the subject line and I will add you to the email list to give you all the details!

If you aren’t already following me on Facebook or Instagram, you’re going to want to join me there for author interviews, video chats, book conversations, and more!  I’m going to send an email each Monday of the month and pop into a facebook live each Friday, so that we have an actual place where we can come together and connect!  I can’t wait to see you there!

Welcome to the Book Club Community!

This month, we are reading:

Kris Camealy’s Come, Lord Jesus: The Weight of Waiting.  This book is a 25 day Advent devotional that will help you to invite Jesus into the heart of your Christmas season and experience the holiday in a deeper and more meaningful way.

I read this book last year and was so moved by it that I decided to re read it this Christmas and invite you to join me.

Amazon says, “Come, Lord Jesus is a companion in the waiting season of Advent. It’s a quiet invitation to sit with the weight of waiting, and recount the faithfulness of God, to trace the hope of Christmas, and prepare the way for Jesus’ coming into the world, into our own hearts, into our everyday, ordinary time. With its offering of a daily reading, a reflection, prayer and one, or two reflective questions for you to contemplate, this book is a welcome “friend” to readers during the Advent, or any other season of waiting.”

I say, “Grab a copy and go deeper into the real meaning of Christmas.  You will be so glad that you did.”

In November, we read:

Jennifer Bleakley’sJoey:  How A Blind Rescue Horse Helped Others Learn To See.   And guess what?!?  It is on sale on Amazon for under $11!

I LOVED this book.  As a matter of fact, it is one of my favorites that I read this year!  It is inspiring and heart warming and full of little truth nuggets in the middle of a beautiful story!  You’re going to want to grab a copy of this book if you haven’t already read it!

I also had the opportunity to do a Zoom video interview with Jennifer Bleakley after the book club finished her book.  We talked about all the things and you can watch the You Tube video of my chat with Jennifer Bleakley HERE.

In October, we read Shontell Brewer’s Missionary Mom: Embracing the Mission Field Right Under Your Roof.

If you are a mama in any stage of the parenting journey, this book will help you to intentionally love your kids and point them to Jesus.  It is a must read for moms!
